Transfer request of PA(SBCO) officials who have opted for PA(PO) cadre

To, All Head of Postal Circles.

I am directed to refer to above mentioned subject and to say that a policy decision was taken by the Department to allow officials in the cadre of PA(SBCO) to switch over to PA(PQ) cadre. Majority of officials have switched over to PA(PO) cadre in two different window provided to the employees.

2. It has come to the notice of Directorate that in some cases transfer request registered by such employees are being ‘Not recommended’ by field unit(s) on the grounds that they have not completed one year of service in PAPO) cadre. It may be noted that switching over have been done on the basis of an administrative decision and not on request of individual employees.

3. Therefore, it has been decided with approval of the competent authority that length of service of such employees may be observed from date of their appointment as PA(SBCO), subject to fulfilment of other eligibility conditions.

4. This may be brought to the notice of all concerned and the cases wherever transfer request have not been recommended on the ground of less than one year of service after switch over from PA(SBCO) to PA(PO) cadre be reviewed immediately but not later than 22nd September.

5. Any modification in recommendations made during present transfer cycle on this aspect may be conveyed to Directorate latest by 22.09.2023 at 1300 hrs through eMail at adspn.dte@indiapost.gov.in. No request for modification shall be entertained after this.
