In the said Cadre Restructuring 225 posts of ASPOs (Level-8) upgraded to P.S. Group 'B’ (Level-9) with simultaneous reduction in the strength of ASPOs by 225 Posts.
Earlier in 141 Head Post Offices at HSG-I level were used to be headed by ASPOs. During the course of time, Department decided to man these HSG-I Posts by general line officials through promotion channel only to improve the promotional opportunities to general line officials. In this process this cadre has already lost 141 ASPOs Posts.
We earnestly request for filling up vacancies, arising due to up-gradation of 225 posts in Group 'B’, by promotion from amongst Inspector Posts through seniority —cum-fitness only for first five years to protect the aspiration and career progression of the Inspector Posts Cadre.
After five years, vacancies arising in PS Group 'B' Cadre may be filled up as per Recruitment Rules through DPC and LDCE.
