This is regarding celebration of World Thrift Day falls on 30th October 2022 in all Post Offices.
The World Thrift Day is being celebrated every year worldwide to promote savings and financial security of an individual and nation as a whole. The celebration of World Thrift Day is to inform people all around the world about the idea of saving their money.
The Small Savings Schemes of our Department signify and promotes ideology of Thrift / savings to the public at all levels.
An awareness campaign regarding how to teach savings as a good habit in the minds of the citizens (especially to children) is just the initial stepping stone for overall financial inclusion & economic empowerment of the general public. Accordingly, it is requested to organize financial awareness campaigns at POs in the form of facilitation counter/camps from 29.10.2022 fo 31st October 2022.
The initiative will enable us in promotion of POSB products among the public and also to achieve the target. Simultaneously, the top performers / POs during the Banking Day activities may also be felicitated at Divisional and Regional Level as a part of the occasion.
Further, the details of various POSB activities / events (photos/videos/ other material etc.) may be shared to this office. Also it is requested to upload the highlights, photos, videos of the day on social media platforms.
The Regions are requested to make the World Thrift Day 2022 a significant occasion for financial inclusion/awareness.
