Subject:- Relaxation in the eligibility service-change in the crucial date ie, Ist Jan-regarding


I am directed to refer to your Office's letter No. NUPE/154/Relaxation in eligibility service/2022 dated 23.05.2021 vide which it has been requested to extend relaxation of upto 3 months in eligibility service condition in promotion through Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE).


 2. The matter was referred to Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), nodal department for the instant matter. DoPT has advised that relaxation of upto 3 months in eligibility service condition shall be allowed only in cases where promotion is through Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) and shall not be applicable in case of promotion through Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE).
