As part of the Government of India’s broader digital transformation initiatives, the Department of Posts (DOP) has embarked on a significant modernization journey under the IT 2.0 program. This initiative encompasses three major applications:

  • Postal & Logistics Application

  • Post Office Savings Bank Application

  • Insurance Application

Among these, the Postal and Logistics Application is being developed and implemented by the Centre for Excellence in Postal Technology (CEPT). The application aims to digitally empower all levels of postal operations and bring uniformity, transparency, and efficiency across the nation’s postal network.

Current Status of Implementation

As of 22nd July 2025, the IT 2.0 Postal and Logistics Application has been successfully rolled out to 86,327 offices across India. This includes both administrative and operative offices, signifying a major milestone in India's digital postal journey.
