Karnataka Circle to Conduct One-Day Capacity Building Workshop on Reduction of Litigation on 8 August 2026
The Karnataka Circle, Department of Posts, has announced the conduct of a One-Day Capacity Building Workshop on Reduction of Litigation for senior field officers on 08 August 2026 (Saturday). The initiative is aimed at strengthening administrative practices and minimizing litigation through improved awareness and capacity building among field officers.

The communication, issued by the Office of the Chief Postmaster General, Karnataka Circle, is based on the Training Directorate Letter No. Tr-13/24(i)/2024-Training-DOP dated 04.08.2026. The workshop is mandatory for Divisional Heads, Sub Divisional Heads, ASP (HQ), and IP (PG/CS) of both Postal and RMS Divisions.
To ensure smooth and effective conduct of the programme through Video Conferencing (VC), the Circle Office has issued additional operational instructions to all Regions.
Key Instructions Issued
- Identification of VC Venue: Each Region has been directed to identify a suitable venue equipped with Video Conferencing facilities.
- Regional VC Coordinator: Every Region must nominate one Assistant Superintendent of Posts (ASP) as the VC Coordinator to oversee connectivity and attendance.
- Circle Office Nodal Officer: ASP (Vigilance), Circle Office, Bengaluru has been designated as the Nodal VC Coordinator on behalf of the Circle Office.
- Submission of Details: All Regions have been requested to furnish the details of the identified VC venues and the nominated Regional VC Coordinators to the Circle Office at the earliest.
The workshop reflects the Department's continued focus on enhancing the knowledge and administrative capabilities of supervisory officers. By equipping Divisional and Sub Divisional Heads with better understanding of legal and procedural issues, the Department aims to reduce avoidable litigation, improve decision-making, and ensure greater compliance with departmental rules and regulations.
The Karnataka Circle has requested all concerned Regional Offices to make the necessary arrangements and ensure the successful conduct of the workshop on 08 August 2026.
