FNPO Announces Newly Elected Office Bearers for 2026–2029 Term
The Federation of National Postal Organisations (FNPO), one of the largest federations representing postal employees in India, has elected its new national leadership team for the 2026–2029 term during its 13th Federal Congress held at Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar, Punjab, from June 5 to June 7, 2026.
The Congress was conducted under the chairmanship of Shri N. K. Tyagi, Working President, FNPO, and witnessed enthusiastic participation from representatives across the country. The newly elected team reflects the federation's commitment to strengthening employee welfare, protecting service interests, and enhancing organizational unity.
Shri Nisar Mujawar, Postman, Kolhapur Head Office, Maharashtra, was elected as President of FNPO. Shri Umesh Maskar, WCTC Trainer, Mumbai RMS, Maharashtra, was elected as Working President.
The Congress elected four Vice Presidents representing different regions of the country: Shri R. P. Mishra (Uttar Pradesh), Shri Milind Nipankar (Maharashtra), Shri Ranjit Singh Gohil (Gujarat), and Shri Goutham Sinha (West Bengal).
Shri Sivaji Vasireddy, APM (Accounts), HSG-II, Narasaraopet Head Office, Andhra Pradesh, was unanimously elected as Secretary General. Shri R. Murali of Chennai STG Division, Tamil Nadu, was elected as Deputy Secretary General.
Five Assistant Secretaries General were also elected, representing Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, West Bengal, and Gujarat. Shri Sandeep Gulia of Delhi STG Division was elected Financial Secretary, while Shri Sathish Kumar, Postman, Karol Bagh SO, New Delhi, was elected Assistant Financial Secretary.
The newly elected leadership is expected to focus on addressing service-related concerns, strengthening the voice of postal employees, and working closely with the Department of Posts on issues concerning welfare, modernization, and organizational development.
The Federation has requested the Department of Posts to circulate the details of the newly elected office bearers to all concerned authorities and extend the admissible trade union facilities to the elected representatives.
The successful conduct of the 13th Federal Congress and the election of the new leadership marks an important milestone in FNPO's continued efforts to represent and safeguard the interests of postal employees across India.
