CPRC Uploads Form 16A for Q4 FY 2025-26: Post Offices Directed to Issue TDS Certificates to Customers

Form 16A for Q4 FY 2025-26 Made Available by CPRC for Customer Distribution
The Centralized Processing and Reconciliation Centre (CPRC), Chennai, has informed all concerned offices regarding the availability of Form 16A for the fourth quarter (January 2026 to March 2026) of Financial Year 2025-26. The forms have been uploaded for download and subsequent issuance to customers whose tax has been deducted at source (TDS) on Post Office Savings Bank transactions.
Background
As per SB Order No. 12/2025 dated 15.09.2025 and SB Order No. 16/2025 dated 02.12.2025, TDS deductions under Section 194N and periodical interest credits under Section 194A have been centrally accounted for at CPRC with effect from 15.05.2025.
Further, CPRC has been filing TDS returns under the following sections with effect from 01.12.2025:
Section 194A – Interest other than interest on securities (including counter deductions)
Section 194E
Section 194H
Section 194N
Availability of Form 16A
Form 16A certificates for Q4 FY 2025-26 have been uploaded in the designated server location for access by postal units.

Folder Structure
To facilitate easy identification and retrieval, circle-wise folders have been created. Sub-folders are arranged in the following format:

The folder structure includes both Head Offices and Sub Offices.

Officials requiring access may coordinate with their respective System Administrators for installation and configuration assistance.

All concerned offices are requested to:
Download the Form 16A files from the designated location.
Verify the availability of certificates pertaining to their office.
Arrange prompt issuance of Form 16A certificates to eligible customers.
Ensure timely compliance with TDS certificate distribution requirements.
