The meeting was chaired by Smt. V. Tara, DPS, Bengaluru HQ Region along with senior administrative officers and representatives of the AIAIPASP Union.
Important Issues Discussed
MACP DPC for IP/ASP Cadre
The union raised the issue regarding the early convening of DPC for IPs who completed ten years of service in the IP cadre (IP 2014 Batch).
In response, the administration informed that the MACP DPC for IP/ASPs was conducted on 27.03.2026 for the period from 01.04.2022 to 31.03.2026.
Training and Workshops for IPs
The union highlighted that many newly selected IPs are handling sensitive assignments such as:
PPF and financial matters
Fraud and vigilance cases
Cent percent verification work
IT inspections
The association requested specialized training/workshops to strengthen field-level handling capabilities, especially in view of IT 2.0 implementation.
The administration clarified that:
No IP is currently due for induction training except one official who will attend the next batch from 18.05.2026.
Several learning modules are already available on the iGOT platform.
Proposal for conducting workshops on investigation/vigilance matters will be examined further.
The item was subsequently treated as closed.
Laptop Provision for Sub Divisional Heads
Another major issue discussed was the shortage and poor condition of laptops supplied to Sub Divisional Heads during 2017–2018. The union stated that many systems had exceeded their operational life and were causing hardship in daily work.
The administration informed that:
Details of available laptops with Sub Divisional Heads had already been collected from divisions.
