The administration informed that the MACP DPC for IP/ASPs had already been conducted on 27 March 2026 for the period from 01 April 2022 to 31 March 2026.

Training and Workshops for IP Officers

The union highlighted that many Inspector Posts officers are currently handling highly sensitive assignments including:

  • PPF matters

  • Fraud investigations

  • Court cases

  • Central verification

  • IT inspections

The union requested that proper training programmes, workshops, and field-oriented sensitization sessions be conducted so that officers can handle these responsibilities effectively, especially with the rollout of IT 2.0 systems.

Administration Response

The administration clarified that no IP officer is presently due for induction training except Shri Shivanna T. of IP BG RO, who is scheduled to attend the next batch beginning from 18 May 2026.

Officials were also advised to make use of the various online learning courses available on the iGOT portal.

Further, the proposal for conducting workshops on investigation and vigilance-related matters would be examined by the administration.

The matter was subsequently treated as closed.

Demand for New Laptops to Sub Divisional Heads

The union also raised the issue of outdated laptops supplied to Sub Divisional Heads during 2017–2018.

According to the union, many of these systems are no longer functioning properly, repair support has expired, and several devices are due for condemnation. This has been causing operational difficulties in day-to-day work.

Administration Response

The administration informed that details regarding available laptops with Sub Divisional Heads had already been collected from divisions and forwarded to the Technology Section through email dated 17 June 2025 for centralized procurement.

It was also clarified that no separate procurement proposals had been received from divisions specifically for supplying laptops to Sub Divisional Heads.

This agenda item was also treated as closed.

Focus on Capacity Building and Digital Infrastructure

The meeting reflected the growing emphasis on strengthening field-level administration through better training support and improved digital infrastructure. Discussions on IT 2.0 preparedness, investigation training, and modernization of office equipment indicate the department’s ongoing efforts to improve operational efficiency across the Bengaluru HQ Region.

The minutes were issued by the Assistant Postmaster General (Staff), O/o PMG, Bengaluru HQ Region, Bengaluru – 560001.
