Department of Posts Partners with Flipkart to Boost Last-Mile Parcel Delivery Across India
In a significant move aimed at strengthening India’s e-commerce logistics network, the Department of Posts under the Ministry of Communications has signed an agreement with Flipkart for nationwide last-mile parcel delivery services.
The agreement was signed on 22 May 2026 in New Delhi by Shri Neeraj Kumar Jha, General Manager, Parcel Directorate, Department of Posts, and Shri Harvinder Kapur, Director – Commercial, Flipkart India Private Limited. Senior officials from both organizations were also present during the signing ceremony.
Major Push for E-Commerce Logistics
The partnership is expected to significantly enhance parcel delivery operations across India by combining Flipkart’s growing e-commerce network with India Post’s unmatched reach and trusted delivery system.
Under the agreement, the Department of Posts will handle last-mile delivery for Flipkart shipments across urban, semi-urban, rural, and remote regions of the country. The collaboration is designed to improve delivery efficiency, customer satisfaction, and logistics connectivity.
