Subject: GDS Online engagement Schedule-II July (2023)- offer of engagement on alternative post /updation of turn up status of shortlisted GDS candidates.
Sir/Madam
This is regarding offering engagement on alternative posts to those shortlisted GDS candidates, who could not have been offered engagement against the posts for which they were selected due to technical/administrative reasons and providing of a window to update the status of those candidates, whose reporting status could not have been updated by the engaging authorities within the stipulated window, in the GDS online Engagement Schedule-II, July-2023.
2 . Some of the Circles have reported that in certain cases more than one candidates have been selected against the one vacant post of due to non updation of turn up status of the previous shortlisted candidates and they also could not have been adjusted in the subsequent lists. Since, the final list of this Schedule has already been released and no further list is to be issued, such left over candidates in these circumstances may be adjusted by the Engaging Authorities in physical mode against any other vacant post in the Division.
3. In addition, there are certain cases in which further processing of the candidates selected is held up due to non updation of the reporting status in the Portal. CEPT will provide a window of three days from 01.02.2024 to 03.02.2024 to update turn up status of such candidates.
4. CEPT has also provided a list of six such candidates, as mentioned below, who could not have been offered engagement in the subsequent lists. The concerned Circles will also take action to offer them engagement on any vacant post in the same Division in which they had applied in physical mode.
5. The Circles/CEPT are requested that the above exercise may be completed latest by 03.02.2024, as the Directorate is initiating process for notifying the vacancies for the Schedule I, January, 2024 in the second week of Feb, 2024.
