Postal Assistant and Sorting Assistant (PA/SA) Recruitment through Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGLE) conducted by SSC
Department of Posts (DOP) recently released the PA SA Recruitment Rules 2022 on 17th June 2022. As per the revised PA/SA recruitment rules educational qualification for direct recruits is Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University or Institute, which was 10+2 pass earlier. Hence it is requested to SSC for recruitment of PA SA through SSC CGL (Combined Graduate Level) Exams.

I am directed to refer to letter No. HQ-PPI03/2/2022-PP_1 dated 15.07.2022 of Staff Selection Commission vide which User Ministries/Departments have been asked to report vacancies for recruitment to the posts of Lower Divisional Clerk / Junior Secretariat Assistant, Data Entry Operations and Postal Assistant / Sorting Assistant to be recruited through Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination-2022.
2. In this connection, it is pertinent to mention that Department of Posts has notified revised Recruitment Rules for the posts of Postal Assistant and Sorting Assistant on 17.06.2022 (copy enclosed). As per the revised recruitment rules educational qualification for direct recruits is Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University or Institute, which was 10+2 pass earlier.
3. In view of the change in prescribed educational qualification from 10+2 to Bachelor's Degree, Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is requested to recommend candidates for appointment as Postal Assistant and Sorting Assistant on the basis of Combined Graduate Level Examination 2022 onwards.
