National Postal Week - Day Wise Activities by DOP (Department of Post) | National Postal Week 2021 Celebrated by India Post | Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM)
India Post Celebrates National Postal Week from 09th October to 15th October every year. This year in 2021 Ministry of Culture has allotted to Department of Posts to celebrate National Postal Week from 11th October 2021 to 17th October 2021 on the eve of Celebrating Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
Day Wise Activities pertaining to Department of Posts during the week from 11th - 17th October 2021.
• 11th October 2021 (Monday) - Banking Day
I. DOP to organize financial inclusion Mela in a village in each district of the Country with special focus on Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana.
II. Target of opening 1 Lakh Sukanya Samriddhi Accounts.
III. In the Melas, the backdrop depicting India@75 (Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav) to be displayed.
IV. Documentary on India @ 75 (Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav), as provided by Ministry of Culture to be displayed in the Mela.
• 12th October 2021 (Tuesday) - PLI Day
I. DOP to organize Financial Inclusion Melas in a village in each district of the Country with special focus on PLI / RPLI (identified village shall be different from those identified under Banking Day).
II. Target of obtaining 1 Lakh RPLI / PLI Policies,
III. In the Melas, the backdrop depicting India@75 (Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav) to be displayed.
IV. Documentary on India@75 (Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav), as provided by Ministry of Culture to be displayed in the Melas.
V. RPLI / PLI sales force (2020-21) to be recognised at National and State level.
• 13th October 2021 (Wednesday) - Philately Day
I. Release of Special Cover on the theme India@75 (Azadi ka Amrit
Mahotsav). The theme to be decided in consultation with Ministry of Culture.
II. Every Circle to release Special Covers on Unsung Heroes of the respective State / UT in consultation with Ministry of Culture.
• 14th October 2021 (Thursday) — Business Development Day
1. Circles to launch special Aadhaar Enrolment / Updation Camps in consultation with UIDAI with special focus on Slums Orphanage / Far Flung Areas, Hilly / Tribal areas etc.
• 15th October 2021 (Friday) — Holiday (Dusshera)
• 16th October 2021 ( Saturday) - Mails Day
I. Customer Meet (Mails and Parcel)
• 17th October 2021 (Sunday)
I. In the forenoon, Meghdoot Award distribution ceremony at National level (by Hon'b1e MOC) / afternoon Dak Seva Award at Circle level.
II. Press conference to be organized at National level (by Hon'ble MOC) and Circle level (by HOC) intimating the Media the list of Postal acidities undertaken during the AKAM Week. (To be live telecast on Department’s Social Media handle).
III. Briefing the Media about different activities undertaken by Department during COVID (Pandemic)
IV. Display of Posters provided by UPU in all Circles.
