Violation of Business hours in various Postal Circles | DOP Order Dated 07.01.2016
On the captioned subject, a reference has been received from the staff unions stating that in various circles violation of 'Business Hours' prevails. This is to reiterate that the 'Business Hours' as prescribed in clause 5 of P.O- Guide Part-l should be strictly adhered to.
The ibid class inter alia, provides for the hours for normal week days at every post Office and RMS Office during which business is to be transacted with the public and the time at which mails are to be delivered and dispatched. The public business hours are to be fixed with regard to local convenience and the arrival and departure timings of the mails, All work at the Post office counters is to be stopped precisely at the latest hours fixed.
