PMG Kolkata Region issued a Charge sheet to HOs(Head Post Office) Postmasters on an indent of 25000 Postcards Issue
It was brought to my notice by Chief PMG, West Bengal Circle with a great deal of displeasure that despite clear orders for indent for 25000 postcards for each HO, four HOs have chosen to Indent less, viz., Park Street, Alipore, Kalyani and Ranaghat.
This led to Directorate taking a very serious view of the matter, considering the highest level of monitoring therein.
1) For this act of gross insubordination, the Senior Postmasters, Postmasters, Acting Postmasters, Postmasters- Incharge Shri Biplab Bhattacharya of Park Street HO and Alipore HO (Acting), Shri Pranata Kumar Bag, Postmaster, Kalyani HO and Shri Tapas Bhattacharya, Postmaster, Ranaghat HO should be placed under suspension under Rule 10(1) (a) of CCS (CCA) Rules, 1965 and action may be initiated.
2) lt has also been observed that SPOS, Birbhum Division indulged in unnecessary and casual conversation on social media against the order of the Head of Circle. The SPOs, Birbhum Division, Shri Mriganka Maity is immediately relieved of the charge and attached with Park Street HO with immediate effect. The charge of Birbhum will be looked after by SPOs, Murshidabad.
