System Managers to Be Nodal Officers for Membership Verification Portal in Divisions
The Department of Posts has directed all Postal Circles and Regions to designate System Managers posted in each Divisional Office as Nodal Officers for the Membership Verification Portal being used for the online verification of membership of Service Associations and GDS Associations.
As per the Department’s communication No. 13-03/2019-SR-DOP dated September 2026, the Department is undertaking membership verification for Service Associations and GDS Associations through an online portal for the first time.
Since the online verification process may involve various administrative and technical issues, Circles have been requested to direct their Regions/Divisions to designate the System Manager posted in each Divisional Office as the Nodal Officer. The designated System Manager will provide the necessary technical assistance to users in accessing and operating the Membership Verification Portal.
Circle-Level Nodal Officer to Be Appointed
In addition to the Divisional-level System Managers, each Circle has been asked to appoint/depute a suitable officer, not below the rank of Inspector, as the Circle-level Nodal Officer.
The Circle-level Nodal Officer will coordinate matters relating to the Membership Verification Portal and facilitate smooth implementation of the membership verification process across the Circle.
Circles have been instructed to furnish the details of the Circle Nodal Officer, including:
- Name
- Designation
- Mobile Number
- Email ID
The details are required to be furnished to the concerned Section by 10 September 2026.
Action Taken Report
The Department has further requested all Circles to submit an Action Taken Report regarding the appointment/deputation of Nodal Officers in all Regions and Divisions by 14 September 2026.
The appointment of dedicated Nodal Officers is intended to ensure effective coordination and provide timely technical and administrative support during the online membership verification process. This arrangement is expected to facilitate the smooth and transparent conduct of membership verification for Service Associations and GDS Associations through the online portal.
