The Department of Posts has finalized the schedule for processing the Rule-38 Transfer September 2026 Cycle. Transfer requests received between 01 March 2026 and 31 August 2026 will be considered in this cycle.

The complete schedule is specified in the official communication, with the final approved transfer orders fixed for publication on 08 October 2026.
⚠️ Important Instructions
All concerned Circles, Divisions and Units have been instructed to complete activities within the prescribed timelines to avoid delays in subsequent stages. CEPT has also been requested to undertake technical processing, result generation, allotment and publication activities as per the schedule and provide necessary technical support.
Technical issues relating to candidates should be routed through the verifying authority via the support desk, after ensuring that the issue is genuinely technical. Other issues are to be resolved by the concerned authority at its own level.
Further, issues relating to transfer requests for the period 01.03.2026 to 31.08.2026 will be considered only when received through the Directorate/concerned authority before the prescribed cut-off date. No changes will be permitted in the transfer request after the cut-off for this particular period.

With the schedule now finalized, all concerned authorities are required to strictly adhere to the timelines so that the Rule-38 September 2026 Transfer Cycle progresses smoothly and the Final Approved Transfer Orders are published on 08.10.2026.
