LDCE Inspector Posts Examination 2026: Last Date Extended to 15 September
The Department of Posts has extended the last date for submission of online applications for the Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE) for promotion to the cadre of Inspector Posts under the 66.66% departmental quota for the vacancy year 2026. The examination is scheduled to be held on 26 and 27 September 2026.

As per the Department of Posts order dated 3 September 2026, the last date for submitting the online application has been extended from 5 September 2026 to 15 September 2026 up to 5:30 PM. The extension has been provided to give eligible candidates sufficient opportunity to complete the application process.

The examination dates and the last date for centre allotment remain unchanged. The Department has also stated that the vacancies notified earlier are tentative and are likely to increase. The remaining contents of the notification dated 14 August 2026 will remain unchanged.
Eligible candidates who have not yet submitted their applications should make use of the extended deadline and complete the online application process by 15 September 2026, 5:30 PM.
