Postal Employees’ Union Urges Early Announcement of Productivit Linked Bonus for 2025-26

The All India Postal Employees Union Group ‘C’ has urged the Department of Posts to announce the Productivity Linked Bonus (PLB) for postal employees for the year 2025-26 well in advance of the forthcoming festive season.

In a letter dated 11 September 2026 addressed to the Secretary, Department of Posts, the Union highlighted that the festive season is approaching, with Durgotsav commencing on 17 October, Dussehra on 20 October and Diwali on 8 November 2026.

The Union stated that postal employees across the country are eagerly awaiting the announcement of the Productivity Linked Bonus. It pointed out that bonus announcements have often been made only on the eve of festivals or, in some cases, after the festivals have already commenced.

According to the Union, such delays create difficulties for employees in managing their social obligations, family commitments and traditional rituals during the festive period.

The Union has therefore requested the Department of Posts to intervene and ensure that the bonus is announced and allowed well in time, much before the commencement of the forthcoming festivals. It expressed confidence that the matter would be treated as a priority and that timely relief would be provided to the postal workforce.

The representation was signed by Naresh Gupta, General Secretary, All India Postal Employees Union Group ‘C’, with a copy forwarded to the DDG (SR & Legal), Department of Posts
