India Post Tracking CAPTCHA Length Reduced to 3 Characters

The India Post Track and Trace service on the official India Post website has been updated with a shorter CAPTCHA requirement for tracking consignments.

As shown on the tracking page, the CAPTCHA displayed for Consignment ID tracking is now reduced to 3 characters, making the verification step simpler for users.

Easier Tracking Experience

Customers can use the Track 'N' Trace service to track postal consignments by entering the required article or reference number. The reduced CAPTCHA length is expected to make the tracking process quicker and more convenient.

The Track and Trace section also provides options for tracking through:

  • Article Number
  • Reference Number
  • Money Order
  • Complaint ID

The updated interface continues to provide the CAPTCHA verification before the tracking request is submitted.

Improved User Convenience

Reducing the CAPTCHA from a longer sequence to three characters can make it easier for customers to read and enter the verification code, particularly when accessing the tracking service frequently.

The update is visible on the India Post Track and Trace page and represents a small but useful improvement to the customer-facing postal tracking experience.
