Deen Dayal SPARSH Yojana 2026: India Post Invites Applications for ₹6,000 Annual Scholarship
The Department of Posts has launched the Deen Dayal SPARSH (Scholarship for Promotion of Aptitude & Research in Stamps as a Hobby) Yojana from 1 August 2026. The scheme aims to encourage school students to develop an interest in philately (stamp collection) while promoting research, creativity, and learning through stamps.

Under this initiative, eligible students can receive a scholarship of ₹6,000 per annum to support and encourage their philatelic activities.
Who Can Apply?
Students studying in Classes 6 to 9 are eligible to apply under the scheme, provided they have secured at least 60% marks in their most recent final examination.
For SC and ST students, a 5% relaxation in the minimum marks requirement has been provided.
Scholarship Benefits
Selected students will receive:
- Scholarship of ₹6,000 per year
- Recognition for their interest and talent in philately
- Opportunity to enhance their knowledge and research skills through stamp collection
- Encouragement to develop creativity and innovation using philatelic resources
Objective of the Scheme
The Deen Dayal SPARSH Yojana has been introduced to:

- Foster research, creativity, and innovation among young learners.
- Identify and nurture future philatelists across the country.
Scheme Effective From
The scholarship scheme is effective from 1 August 2026 onwards.
