Top Priority: Postal Circles Directed to Complete LDCE-IP 2026 Mapping Activity
LDCE-IP 2026: Department of Posts Directs Postal Circles to Complete Controlling Authority Mapping on Priority
New Delhi | 09 July 2026
The Department of Posts has issued an important communication to all Heads of Postal Circles regarding the completion of Controlling Authority Mapping for the conduct of the Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE-IP), 2026 through the Online Application Processing Module in APT 2.0.
Controlling Authority Mapping is Mandatory
As per the Directorate's letter, CEPT has informed that Controlling Authority Mapping is a one-time mandatory prerequisite for all cadres and office types in the Online Application Processing Module. Without completing this mapping, candidates will not be able to submit their online applications for LDCE-IP 2026.
Postal Circles Asked to Complete the Activity on Priority
The Department has instructed all Postal Circles to complete the mapping exercise well before the notification for LDCE-IP 2026 is issued by following the Operational Guide already provided by CEPT. This is essential to ensure a smooth online application process.
CEPT Ready to Provide Online Demonstration
The communication also states that CEPT is willing to organize an online demonstration session for any Postal Circle that requires assistance with the Controlling Authority Mapping procedure.
However, since all Postal Circles had already completed the mapping activity during LDCE-IP 2025, they have been advised to carry out the exercise by following the previously shared Operational Guide. If any Circle still requires clarification or training, it may inform the Directorate, which will arrange an online session through CEPT.
Top Priority for Timely Completion
The Directorate has emphasized that the matter should be treated with Top Priority and that all Circles must strictly adhere to the prescribed timeline. Timely completion of the mapping activity will facilitate the smooth acceptance and processing of online applications for LDCE-IP 2026.
