India Post Urges Faster Completion of "Gramin Dak Sevaks – Capacity Building and Business Skills" Training on DKY Portal
The Department of Posts has issued a communication to all Chief Postmasters General (CPMGs), emphasizing the urgent need to improve the completion rate of the "Gramin Dak Sevaks – Capacity Building and Business Skills" online training course available on the Karmayogi (DKY) Portal.

The letter, issued by Col. S.F.H. Rizvi, Member (HRD), Department of Posts, highlights that the training is designed to strengthen the business, customer service, and communication skills of Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS), ultimately improving citizen-centric service delivery and driving business growth at the grassroots level.
Mandatory Training for All GDS Employees
The Department has made it mandatory for all GDS employees to complete the self-paced online course through the DKY Portal. The training includes video-based learning modules along with quizzes to reinforce concepts and enhance field-level performance.

Concern Over Low Completion Rate
The Training Division observed that the course completion percentage in several Postal Circles is below the desired level. A Circle-wise performance report has been shared with the concerned authorities, requesting them to review the progress personally and initiate corrective measures to improve completion rates at the earliest.
Priority Monitoring at All Levels
Considering the importance of the programme in enhancing the capabilities of GDS employees, the Department has directed Circle, Regional, and Divisional offices to accord top priority to the training. Officers have been requested to closely monitor the progress and ensure that every GDS employee completes the course within the prescribed timeline.
The communication also refers to the directions issued during the Parcel & CCS Directorate Review Meeting held on 06 June 2026, reinforcing the importance of timely completion of this capacity-building initiative.
