CBS Team Responds on Finacle Scheme Change Issue: Solution Awaited from Application Support Vendor
The Centralized Banking Solution (CBS) Team, CEPT has responded to queries regarding the issue faced by post offices while changing the scheme code from SB General (SB Gen) to SB Cheque in the Finacle application.
According to the email communication shared by the CBS Team, the issue has already been escalated to the concerned application support vendor for resolution.
What Did the CBS Team Say?
In its official response, the CBS Team informed:
"Issue already escalated. Solution is awaited from CBS Application Support Vendor Team (Alstonia)."
This indicates that the matter has already been taken up with the Finacle application support vendor and the Department is awaiting a technical solution before the issue can be resolved.
Issue Reported by Field Offices
Several post offices have reported difficulties while attempting to change the scheme code from SB General to SB Cheque in Finacle. The problem has affected the processing of such requests at the field level.
Following the representations received from the field, the issue was escalated to the CEPT CBS Team for necessary action.
Current Status
As per the latest update from the CBS Team:
- The issue has been officially escalated.
- The matter is under examination by the CBS Application Support Vendor (Alstonia).
- A technical solution is awaited.
- Field offices may have to wait until the vendor provides the required fix or further instructions.
Advisory for Post Offices
Until a resolution is communicated by the Department, Post Offices are advised to:
- Wait for further instructions from CEPT/CBS Team.
- Avoid repeated escalation of the same issue unless additional information is required.
- Follow any workaround or advisory issued by the Department after the vendor provides the solution.
The Department is expected to issue further updates once the application support vendor resolves the issue and the necessary changes are implemented in the Finacle system.
