Department of Posts Directs Completion of Pending Compassionate Engagement Cases Before Migration to APT 2.0
The Department of Posts has instructed all Chief Postmasters General (CPMsG) to ensure the timely disposal of all pending Compassionate Engagement (CCE) cases in the CCE Portal (IT 1.0) before their migration to APT 2.0. The directive has been issued to facilitate a smooth and seamless transition to the new platform with minimum pendency.

Pending Cases Must Be Cleared Before Migration
Referring to its earlier communication dated 30 June 2026, the Department reiterated that all Compassionate Engagement cases pending as on 31 March 2026 should be finalized in the existing portal by 7 July 2026.
The Department has clarified that cases pending at various processing stages or inboxes in the CCE Portal (IT 1.0) will not be migrated to APT 2.0.
Instructions to All Postal Circles
All Postal Circles have been requested to:
- Review all Compassionate Engagement cases currently available in APT 1.0.
- Finalize pending cases at every stage of processing, as far as possible.
- Ensure that the migration to APT 2.0 is completed in a single stage with minimum pending workload.
Top Priority Assignment
The Department has emphasized that the exercise should be treated as top priority. All concerned authorities have been directed to take immediate action and complete the pending work within the stipulated timeline to avoid disruption during the migration process.
Objective of the Migration
The transition from CCE Portal (IT 1.0) to APT 2.0 is part of the Department's digital modernization initiative. Clearing pending cases before migration will help ensure accurate data transfer, reduce backlog, and enable efficient processing of Compassionate Engagement cases in the new system.
