Dream Mobile Application Development & Integration Progress Update

Mobile Application Development & Integration Progress Update

The ongoing development and enhancement activities for the Department’s mobile application ecosystem have entered a crucial phase, with major progress achieved across integration, testing, and rollout readiness activities.

IPPB Data Integration in Progress

The integration of India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) data is currently under progress. As part of the implementation process, sample datasets have already been shared with the MIS team for validation and processing purposes.

At present, the MIS team is actively working on:

  • Data sanitization activities

  • Validation of sample records

  • Preparation of finalized datasets for API consumption

Once the sanitization and validation activities are completed, the required API services will be made available for seamless integration with the application.

The development team is targeting completion of the IPPB integration activities before Wednesday, with another progress update expected by Monday evening.

Rule 3 Transfer Functionality Achieves Portal-Level Readiness

Significant progress has also been achieved in the Rule 3 transfer functionality module. The application workflow is now aligned with the existing portal functionality, ensuring operational parity between the mobile platform and web-based system.

During the previous week, the development and testing teams jointly carried out extensive end-to-end scenario testing covering:

  • Workflow validations

  • Transaction flow checks

  • Functional behavior testing

  • User journey verification

  • Exception handling scenarios

The collaborative testing exercise helped stabilize the module and improve workflow reliability prior to rollout.

Pilot Rollout Requirements Nearing Completion

Apart from core integration work, the development team is simultaneously implementing all additional requirements communicated by pilot rollout divisions.

These enhancements include:

  • Functional improvements

  • User feedback-based modifications

  • Operational workflow refinements

  • Division-specific requirements

All such pending activities are also planned for completion before Wednesday

.

Development Freeze & Security Audit Planned

Following completion of all planned enhancements and integrations, the team intends to initiate a development freeze for the upcoming version of the application.

Post freeze, the following activities are scheduled:

  1. Comprehensive Security Audit

  2. Vulnerability Assessment

  3. Compliance Validation

  4. Final Build Stabilization

  5. Play Store Upload Process

  6. iOS App Store Submission Activities

This structured approach is expected to ensure that the new application version is stable, secure, and deployment-ready for wider rollout.
