Confederation Urges Timely Declaration of DA/DR, PLB and Adhoc Bonus
New Delhi, September 23, 2025 – The Confederation of Central Government Employees & Workers has written to Union Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, urging immediate action on the pending declaration of Dearness Allowance (DA)/Dearness Relief (DR), Productivity Linked Bonus (PLB) and Adhoc Bonus for central government employees and pensioners.
In the letter, Confederation Secretary General S.B. Yadav highlighted that the DA/DR installment due from July 1, 2025 has not yet been announced. Traditionally, the revised rates are declared in the last week of September, with arrears released in the first week of October. The delay, he noted, has caused serious discontent among employees and pensioners across the country.
The Confederation also stressed the urgency of declaring PLB and Adhoc Bonus, particularly with the Durga Puja festival season approaching. Timely disbursement, it argued, would help employees manage festive expenses and boost morale.
The organization has sought the immediate intervention of the Finance Minister to ensure that the DA/DR orders and Bonus announcements are released without further delay.
The appeal reflects the wider expectations of lakhs of government employees and retirees who await these statutory benefits before the festive season.
