India Post Payments Bank (IPPB), the only payments bank established under the Department of Posts, continues to enhance its outreach and services across the nation. With a robust network of 650 branches and over 1.63 lakh access points through the post office network, IPPB plays a significant role in improving financial inclusion, particularly in rural areas.

IPPB Services and Offerings

IPPB provides a diverse range of products and services to its customers:

  1. Banking Services:

    • Savings and Current Accounts
    • Virtual Debit Cards
    • Domestic Money Transfer Services
  2. Utility Payments and Insurance:

    • Bill and utility payments
    • Insurance services for IPPB customers
  3. Post Office Integration:

    • Post Office Savings Account (POSA) linkage with IPPB accounts
    • Online payments for Post Office Savings schemes
  4. Aadhaar-Linked Services:

    • Aadhaar Enabled Payment System (AePS)
    • Mobile number updates in Aadhaar
    • Child enrollment services for children aged 0-5 years
  5. Special Services:

    • Digital Life Certificates (DLC) for pensioners

Highlights from Maharashtra

  • Sambhaji Nagar (Aurangabad) District:
    IPPB has opened 6,80,794 accounts in the district, reflecting its strong presence in the region.
