AIPEU GDS starts indefinite strike from 14th December 2023

As per the provisions of sub section (1) of section 22 of the Industrial dispute act 1947, we hereby notify that all the Gramin Dak Sevaks will go on indefinite strike from 14-12-2023. A detailed charter of demands is enclosed hereby.

GDS CHARTER OF DEMANDS 2023


1. Departmentalisation of all Branch Offices granting 8 hours work — extend all benefits including pension at par with department employees.


2. Immediate implementation of all favourable recommendations of Kamalesh Chandra Committee report.


» Fixation of TRCA with due weightage on seniority with effect from 01-01- 2016 at par with departmental employees.


» Enhancement of GDS gratuity as per gratuity formula — enhance the ceiling to 5 Lakhs.


» Grant 180 days paid leave with accumulation and encashment facility.


» Grant time-bound financial upgradation on completion of 12, 24, 36 Years of service.


» Provision of medical facilities to GDS and their family.

3. Increase department\employee contribution to SDBS-Ensure minimum Pension — grant pension to all retired GDS.


4. Scrap incentive system and grant work norms for all works done by GDS Including IPPB, PLI, RPLI, SB, MGNREGS etc..


5. Ensure uniformity in drawing annul incriment for GDS and regular staff.


6. Grant fixation of Level 2 TRCA to all newly recruited GDS with effect from 01-01-2016.


7. Immediate verification of membership and grant of all trade union facilities to GDS unions.


8. A. Stop unscientific targets and harassment of officials — stop insistence of use on mobile devices and to follow social media platforms


8. B. Grant TA/DA and other allowances to all GDS for training / business meets including Dak Karmayogi training.


9. Withdraw the existing RICT devices and provide laptop, printers etc.. to All GDS — settle all the technology related issue related Darpan 2.0 version — Provide high speed network connectivity.


10. Allow substitutes in long/short term vacancies — ensure timely payment Substitute wages.
