As it is aware that the GDS BPMs are entitled to a Composite allowance @Rs.500/- p.m. the BO's accommodation meeting the prescribed standards and @Rs.250/-p.m. for non-standard/rent-free accommodation. During the course of some recent visits and interaction with the field staff, it has been observed that the monthly rent for the accommodation being hired by the BPM was well above thecomposite allowance being paid to them at present. 

Therefore, a need is being felt to review the existing rates of Composite Allowance. In view of the above, I am directed to request you to please cause to furnish the comments to review of the Composite Allowance by 15.07.2023 in the following format:

* Circle Name 

* Number BPMs as on 30.06.2023

* Suggested amount of  Composite Allowance for Standard accommodation and nonstandard accommodation separately

* Justification

* Remark

In case the present rate appears to be adequate, the Circle may suggest 'no change' in the remarks column. In case of non receipt of comments from any particular Circle(s) by 15.07.2023, it would be deemed that existing rates are adequate.
