Issue of one lakh offer letters in the next 10 months in Postal Department (DOP) | Post Office filling all vacant posts on a Mission Mode

As you are aware, Government has decided to fill all vacant posts on a Mission Mode. In this context, Government has decided as under:-
a. Issue of one lakh offer letters / appointment letters in the next 10 months on a monthly basis.
b. Unified collective digital issuance of these letters.
2. As a follow up action, Cabinet Secretary reviewed the status today (10.09.2022) and directed to realign the recruitment plan as under:
a. Current process be expedited so as to complete the target identified for October-December 2022 by end of October 2022.
b. Compressing time lines for reeruitment (Direct / Promotion) planned during 18 months (July 2022 10 December 2023) to 10 months.
c. Retirement / chain vacancy due to promotion during 2023 and 2024 to be factored in.
3. With this background, Secretary (Posts) / DGPS will hold a virtual meeting with Heads of Circles on 12.09.2022 at 3.00 PM. During the meeting, following issues will be discussed for expediting the action to meet the directions of Government:-
a. Engagement of GDS.
b. Appointment process of candidates recommended by Staff Selection Commission (SSC)
c. Declaration of results of examination conducted in August and September 2022 / issue of promotion orders / offer of appointment.
d. Expediting process of DPC of 2022 and 2023
e. Status of Compassionate Appointment
f. Status of Sports Quota Recruitment
g. Calculation of vacancy due to retirement / promotion in 2023 and 2024
4. You are requested to make it convenient to attend the meeting with relevant information. DPS (HQ), designated Nodal Officer for Recruitment Plan in Circle, shall also attend. Link of the VC will be shared separately,
