AIPEU C3 Postal Union urged Postal Directorate to address Non-working of McCamish software w.e.f. 01.09.2022 - request for resolving of the related issues
Sub:- Non-working of McCamish software w.e.f. 01.09.2022 - request for resolving of the related issues.
It is well known McCamish software is having the following multiple issues since 01.09.2022, due to which the CPCs working at different Head Post offices have been hampered totally. Everywhere Members of Public are abusing CPC staff working at Head Post offices due to non-payment of their maturity/loan amounts to them well in time as technical issues in Mc-Camish software arose.
1. Maturities/loans processed with SB accounts, amounts were not credited to respective Customer SB accounts.
2. Policy bonds, acceptance letters, PB slips are not being generated for the policies accepted from 01.09.2022.
3. Maturity, loan, surrender intimation letters are also not being generated for the policies processed from 01.09.2022.
4. Unable to process new policies indexed at field unit's w.e.f 01.09.2022.
5. Premium collecting across countries are not getting updated to the policies.
6. Most of the requests indexed are not getting for Data entry.
Further it is submitted that the instructions are supplied by SOP as per Directorate letter No. PLI-56/2/2022 PLI-DOP dated 09.09.2022. The CPC has been instructed to process the work manually as per SOP. If it is done manually, our considered opinion is before final payment etc. cross-check should be there. However, on the following issues specified instructions are to be given to solve the problems in the CPC section.
1. Loans which were already processed through EFT and amount not credited to Customer.
2. New requests regarding Loans
3. New requests and already processed regarding non-financial transactions.
4. Surrenders and Claims having outstanding Loan.
5. Bulk upload is generating errors hence it is held up.
What is most surprising even in this period some circles have been fixing up the abnormal targets to procure PLI/RPLI Premium by conducting drives from 07.09.2022 to 17.09.2022 in the name of “DAK BIMA SAMAROH"”. It is practically impossible to procure the targets fixed when many issues related to software in particular in McCamish are arising. So we request you to kindly cause immediate instruction to the Circles to refrain from forcing such fixed targets until the problem are solved in the McCamish software.
Therefore it is requested to take necessary steps immediately to rectify the software solutions in McCamish so as to break the dead lock situation.
