Clarification on Eligibility to appear in GDS to PA SA Exam 2022 | GDS to PA/SA Exam 2022 | Combined LDCE PA SA Exam 2022

The clarifications sought by your office vide letter cited above on the subject is furnished hereunder:

1. The officials working as Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) as on 01-01-2022 appointed to Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 of Pay Matrix thereafter should not be allowed to appear for LDCE for promotion to PA/SA Cadre for the vacancy year 2022 under Category (B) of Notification dated 24-06-2022, if claimed as fulfilling 8 years of regular engagement as GDS on the crucial date of eligibility ie., 01-01-2022.

2. The officials working as Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) as on 01-01-2022 appointed to Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 of Pay Matrix thereafter should not be allowed to appear for Competitive Examination for recruitment to PA/SA Cadre for the vacancy year 2022, if claimed as engaged as GDS for past 5 years or more regularly and holding GDS post on the crucial date eligibility ie., 01-01-2022, under GDS quota,

3. In Competitive Examination for recruitment from GDS Cadre to PA/SA Cadre for the vacancy year 2022, the unfilled vacancies from LDCE will be filled up under UR/SC/ST Categories only.

In view of above,

(i) No age relaxation under ‘OBC’ Category should be allowed.

(ii) EWS category applications should be treated under ‘UR’ Category only.

4. Certificate / Document in support of “Computer” knowledge is not mandatory in applications submitted for Competitive Examination for recruitment from GDS Cadre to PA/SA Cadre.
