Subject: Instructions w.r.t printing of Delivery slip
Presently, delivery slip is being carried by the postmen/postwomen which is to be signed by the recipients. In usual practice, this list is being printed on A4 size paper on a single side only wherein approximately 16-18 entries are printed on one side of the sheet. Non-utilization of the reverse side of the sheet leads to wastage of paper.
2. In view of the above, the staff concerned in each delivery office should be instructed to print the delivery lists on both sides of the sheets which can be done by making a minor change in the print settings of the laser printers in the delivery branch. This will be a great Green Initiative" by the department and also result in substantial saving in office expenditure.
An action taken report may be sent by 20th Of October, 2021.
