The initiative aims to strengthen citizen engagement and improve public access to postal services through direct interaction with postal officials. The Dak Chaupals will focus on addressing citizen grievances, creating awareness about postal services, facilitating access to available services, promoting good governance practices, undertaking cleanliness initiatives, simplifying procedures and obtaining valuable feedback from citizens.
The Department has also emphasised timely planning, effective coordination and successful implementation of the programme across all Sub-Divisions. Wide publicity is to be ensured through local media and the Department of Posts' official social media handles.
For greater public visibility and outreach, the hashtag #SpecialCampaign6 may be used in social media posts, with @DARPG_GoI tagged as advised in the communication.
The Marketing Division has further requested that a few good-quality photographs documenting the events be shared via email at mktdiv.dop@gmail.com, with a copy marked to helpcenter1924@gmail.com.
The initiative is expected to provide an important platform for citizens to interact directly with postal officials, raise concerns, understand postal facilities and contribute feedback towards improving service delivery and transparency.
Through the nationwide conduct of Dak Chaupals, the Department of Posts seeks to reinforce citizen-centric governance and make postal services more accessible, responsive and efficient.
