The Bharat Connect QR Code, developed by the Bharat Bill Payment System (BBPS) team, is now live and available for customer use. The facility aims to make PLI premium payments more convenient, accessible and user-friendly through digital payment platforms.

Easy and Convenient Digital Payments

By scanning the Bharat Connect QR Code, customers can directly access the Postal Life Insurance biller page through supported payment applications such as PhonePe, Google Pay and Paytm. After scanning the code, customers can select their preferred payment application and complete the standard bill-fetching and payment process.

This initiative is expected to simplify premium payments and encourage greater adoption of digital payment services among PLI policyholders.

Publicity Through Digital and Physical Channels

The Directorate has requested all Postal Circles to promote the facility through various communication channels, including email, WhatsApp and social media platforms. In addition, Post Offices have been advised to print the QR Code and display it prominently at customer counters.

The display of the QR Code at Post Office counters will help customers easily identify and access the digital payment facility, while also increasing awareness about the convenience of Bharat Connect-enabled payments.

Improving Customer Service Through Digital Initiatives

The initiative reflects the Department of Posts' continued efforts to enhance customer convenience by promoting digital payment solutions. By making PLI premium payments easier and more accessible, the facility is expected to improve the customer experience and support the wider adoption of digital services across the postal network.

All Postal Circles have been requested to take the necessary action to ensure extensive publicity and facilitate customers in accessing the PLI bill payment page through the Bharat Connect QR Code.

The communication was issued with the approval of the competent authority by Kamal Kumar Sharma, DDM-III, PLI Directorate.
