LDCE IPO-2026 Exam: Provisional Answer Keys Released, Candidates Invited to Submit Feedback
The Department of Posts has released the Provisional Answer Keys for the Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE) for Inspector of Posts (IP), 2026, conducted on 26th and 27th September 2026.

As per the Department of Posts communication dated 29 September 2026, the provisional answer keys for Paper-I and Paper-III have been uploaded on the departmental website. Candidates who appeared for the examination have been invited to submit their feedback or comments on the provisional answer keys.
Feedback Submission Deadline
Candidates who wish to raise an objection or provide feedback regarding any answer in the provisional key must submit their comments latest by 5:30 PM on 6 October 2026.
The feedback has to be submitted in the prescribed format (Annexure-I) and sent to the email address of the respective Postal Circle given in Annexure-II.
Important Instructions for Candidates
The prescribed feedback format requires candidates to provide details including:
- Name and official address
- Name of the Circle
- Roll Number
- Paper Number — Paper-I or Paper-III
- Series of the Question Booklet — A/B/C/D
- Question Number
- Details of the question along with all four answer options
- Comments explaining why the provisional answer is considered incorrect
- Signature and mobile number
Most importantly, the candidate must cite the relevant Rule Number/Instruction and its prescribed source in support of the objection. A copy of the relevant rule or instruction may also be scanned and submitted along with the feedback.
Separate Feedback for Paper-I and Paper-III
Candidates should note that feedback is to be submitted separately for Paper-I and Paper-III. The format provided in Annexure-I specifically indicates that separate submissions should be made for the two papers.
The Department has also provided a prescribed format for Circles to compile the feedback received from candidates. The compilation is required to be maintained separately for Paper-I and Paper-III.
Circle-Level Compilation
After receiving feedback from candidates, the respective Postal Circles are required to compile the comments in the prescribed Annexure-III format.
The compiled information is to include:
- Serial number of the question
- Question with all four options
- Answer as per the provisional answer key
- Answer suggested by candidates
- Total number of feedback/comments received
- Comments, relevant Rule Number or Instructions supporting the candidates' view
The compiled information for Paper-I and Paper-III is to be furnished separately to the DE Section, Department of Posts, by 8 October 2026.
Provisional Answer Keys for Paper-I and Paper-III
The document also contains the complete provisional answer keys.
For Paper-I, the provisional key covers 125 questions across Question Booklet Series A, B, C and D. The key is provided across pages 5–7 of the document.
For Paper-III, the provisional key covers 150 questions across Series A, B, C and D. The key is provided across pages 8–11 of the document.
Candidates can therefore cross-check their answers against the relevant booklet series before submitting any objection.

The Department has directed that wide publicity be given to the communication among candidates who appeared in the LDCE IP-2026 examination.
What Candidates Should Do Now
Candidates who identify a potentially incorrect answer in the provisional key should:
- Check their Question Booklet Series (A/B/C/D) carefully.
- Identify the relevant question number.
- Compare the provisional answer with the applicable Rule/Instruction.
- Provide a clear justification for the objection.
- Cite the specific Rule Number/Instruction and prescribed source.
- Attach a copy of the relevant rule/instruction wherever necessary.
- Submit the prescribed feedback to their respective Circle before 5:30 PM on 6 October 2026.
Note: These are provisional answer keys, and the document specifically provides an opportunity for candidates to submit feedback/comments before the Department processes the responses.
