3-Day Capacity Building Programme on Business & Marketing Skills for Middle Management Officials

The Department of Posts, North Karnataka Region, Dharwad, has issued a memorandum dated 22 September 2026 regarding the revised nomination of officers for a 3-day Capacity Building Programme on Business & Marketing Skills for Middle Management Officials.

The programme is being organised at the Kousali Institute of Management Studies, Karnataka University, Dharwad, for middle-management officials including Inspectors of Posts (IPs), Assistant Superintendents of Posts (ASPs) and Postal Service Group-B officers.

Training Schedule

The programme has been divided into two batches:

  • Batch I: 24 September 2026 to 26 September 2026
  • Batch II: 28 September 2026 to 30 September 2026

The revised nominations for both batches are enclosed as Annexure-I and Annexure-II in the memorandum.

Participation

Batch I comprises 53 nominated officers, while Batch II comprises 54 officers, covering various divisions and offices under the North Karnataka Region, including Bagalkot, Belagavi, Ballari, Bidar, Chikodi, Dharwad, Gadag, Gokak, Haveri, Kalaburagi, Karwar, Koppal, Raichur, Sirsi, Vijayapur, Yadgiri, RMS HB Division, NK RO Dharwad and RTC Hubballi.

The detailed names, designations and offices of the nominated officers are provided in the respective annexures on pages 2 and 3 of the memorandum.

Objective

The capacity-building programme is intended to strengthen business and marketing skills among middle-management officials, enabling them to better understand and address business development requirements in the postal sector. The participation of IPs, ASPs and other supervisory officers provides an opportunity to enhance managerial capabilities and business-oriented approaches at the field level.

The memorandum has been issued by the Office of the Postmaster General, North Karnataka Region, Dharwad, and copies have been endorsed to the Chief Postmaster General, Karnataka Circle, concerned SPOs/SPOs/SSRM/RMS offices, AD (Staff), RO Dharwad, and the Director, Kousali Institute of Management Studies, Karnataka University, Dharwad.

Conclusion

The 3-day Capacity Building Programme on Business & Marketing Skills represents an important training initiative for middle-management officials of the Department of Posts. With officers from different divisions participating in two batches, the programme is aimed at enhancing professional and managerial capabilities relevant to business development and marketing activities in the postal sector.
