The extension was communicated through an official letter dated 30 June 2026, addressed to the Nodal Officers of all Ministries, Departments, and UTs.

Deadline Extended Till 31 July 2026

According to the Commission, several Ministries, Departments, and Union Territories requested additional time as they could not upload the required information within the stipulated period. In view of these requests, the last date for submission of data through the 8CPC Data Collection Portal has been extended to 31 July 2026.

Submission Only Through the Data Collection Portal

The Commission has reiterated that all Nodal Officers must ensure that the required information is uploaded only through the Data Collection Portal within the extended timeline.

It has also clarified that the following modes of submission will not be accepted:

  • Physical copies
  • E-mails
  • Excel sheets
  • PDF files
  • Any mode other than the Data Collection Portal

This step is intended to streamline the data collection process and maintain uniformity in submissions.

Instructions to Nodal Officers

All Nodal Officers have been requested to ensure timely uploading of the requisite information before the revised deadline. The Commission has emphasized that only data submitted through the designated online portal will be considered.

Conclusion

The extension of the submission deadline to 31 July 2026 provides Ministries, Departments, and Union Territories with additional time to furnish the required information for the Eighth Central Pay Commission. All concerned authorities should make use of the extended timeline and complete the submission through the official Data Collection Portal to avoid any delay in the Commission's work.
