ECS MICR Code Update During New Account Opening – Patch Under Development
ECS (MICR Code) Update for New Account Opening – Important Information for Users
In an important update related to ECS (Electronic Clearing Service) functionality, the provision for entering the MICR Code during new account opening is currently under development.
Earlier, the MICR Code field was available only in the Account Modification menu, as ECS details were updated through that option. However, with the revised process requirements, the MICR Code now needs to be incorporated directly into the Account Opening Menu as well.
The concerned technical team is presently working on the required software patch for this enhancement.
Temporary Arrangement Until Patch Deployment
Until the new patch is released and implemented, users and officials are advised to:
Use the Bank Code
Use the Branch Code
Retrieve the details through the Searcher option for ECS-related processing.
This temporary method should be followed to avoid delays or issues in ECS activation during new account opening procedures.
Patch Development in Progress
Authorities have confirmed that the patch development is currently underway and the updated functionality will be made available shortly after testing and deployment.
Users are requested to follow the interim instructions carefully until the official update is rolled out across the system.
