Eligibility Criteria
Candidates eligible for the examination must meet the following conditions:
- Cadre: Applicants must be officials of Group C from the Department of Posts (DoP) or the Department of Telecommunications (DoT).
- Educational Qualification: A bachelor’s degree from a recognized university is mandatory.
- Service Requirements: Candidates must have the requisite qualifying service as outlined in the Indian Posts and Telecommunications Accounts and Finance Service Group B Recruitment Rules, 2018.
- Previous Positions: Junior Accountants and Senior Accountants in PAOs are not eligible. Applicants working as Accountants in other establishments cannot be equated to JAs/SAs in the Accounts & Finance establishment.
- Seniors’ Consideration: Seniors with less than half of the requisite service compared to juniors may still be considered eligible if they have completed their probation period.
