NFU for SAG officers to HAG Officers in Indian Postal Service (IPoS)
The Ministry of Communications, Department of Posts (DoP) has issued an order dated May 29, 2024, regarding the Non-Functional Upgradation (NFU) of Senior Administrative Grade (SAG) officers of the Indian Postal Service (IPoS) Group ‘A’ to Higher Administrative Grade (HAG) in Level-15 of the Pay Matrix.

Beneficiaries: The order grants NFU to five SAG officers of the IPoS belonging to the 1996 batch.
Effective Date: The NFU is effective from the dates mentioned against each officer's name, ranging from November 6, 2023, to July 17, 2023.
Arrears: The officers are entitled to arrears of pay and allowances wherever applicable.
Pay Fixation: The grant of the higher scale is subject to the terms and conditions mentioned in the DoP&T's OM No. AB.14017/64/2008-Estt.(RR) dated April 24, 2009, and relevant CCS (RP) Rules, 2008 for pay fixation and revision of pay options.
The order has been approved by the Competent Authority and circulated to various relevant authorities within the Department of Posts.
