It has come to the notice that Airlines are nol receiving mail for Israel and flights being cancelled due to unforeseen war situation.
2. In this regard, it is requested to temporarily suspend all categories of Mail services for Israel for booking with immediate effect, until further orders.
3. All mail booked and accumulated at APTMOs ‘may be returned to concerned OEs and kept on hold at OEs till further information is received from the Airlines regarding resumption of the services.
4. In line with the letter No. DA-26/3/2020-DA dated 26.04.2021 issued by the Directorate, customer who wish to recall their booked articles may do so by giving a written application to the booking post office and may claim refund of postage provided that no other liabilities for such cases will be accepted by the DoP. This will only be applicable for consignments which are still lying in India and could not be transmitted abroad. The particular article kept at OEs may be returned to the booking office when request for recall is made by the customers and received through proper channel.
