Sub:- Nationwide Postal Strike on 10 August to save our Department.

You know it well at present our department has been facing serious threats of Corporatization and thereby privatization. When the traditional sectors of our department are being corporatized in the name of Dak Mitra, Common Service Centres, Road Transport Network, Centralized Delivery System, on the other the POSB from which our department earns more than 60% of its revenue is going to be migrated into IPPB Ltd. So, as a whole our department is at stake and so our livelihood, our social existence. We should also take care of our customers mostly poor, low middle class people who use to take service from our Department.

So this is high time to build up united struggle to save our Department. So, Postal Joint Council of Action has taken unanimous decision to go on Strike on 10th August. We sincerely request you to come forward so that your organisation also join the Strike to build up overall unity of all cross section of Postal Employees/Inspectors/Officers irrespective of unions and associations.
