Clarification regarding SSA account of girl child holding Overseas Citizenship of India Card - Regarding.

Kindly refer the above letter.
2. In accordance with Ministry of Home Affairs Notification S.0. 542(E) dated 11.04.2005, Overseas Citizen of India (OCD registered under section 7A of the Indian Citizenship Act 1955, shall be entitled to the benefit namely “Parity with Non-Resident Indians in respect of all facilities available to them in economic, financial, and educational fields except in matters relating to the acquisition of agricultural or plantation properties’.
3. Hence, it is clarified that
(i). OCI card holders are to be treated on par with NRIs, for the purpose of facilities related to financial matters and
(ii). If the OCI Card holders are not Resident Indians, the accounts opened by OCI card holders or the accounts opened on behalf of any minor to whom OCI card holders are guardian, are irregular.
