Grant of 5400 GP to ASPs (Assistant Superintendent of Post Offices) in DOP
Seeking information on the latest status of all pending Court/CAT cases on the issue of extension of benefit of clause 1(x)(e) of Ministry of Finance Resolution No. 1/1/2008 IC dated 29.08.2008 (grant of Non functional Scale of GP Rs.5400/-) in respect of similarly placed officers of Department of Posts in term of order of Hon'ble Madras High Court dated 06.09.2010 in WP No. 18225/2010 (case of Shri M. Subramaniam) - reg.
Sir/ Madam,
This refers to various references and Court/CAT cases including Hon'ble CAT Bench Hyderabad Original Application No.506/2021 filed by IP/ASP Association (representing to all Inspector Posts & Asstt. Superintendent of Posts, who have completed 4 years service in Grade Pay Rs.4800/- with/or corresponding Level-8, granted by either mode MACP or substantive) on the above noted subject.
2. In this regard, the latest status of all pending as well as implemented Court/CAT cases in details and updated financial implication involved in each case till date is required in the prescribed format, attached herewith as Annexure-I.
Further, in respect of Hon’ble CAT Bench Hyderabad Original Application
'No.506/2021 filed:-by IP/ASP Association, all the units are requested it is also requested to keep in view the provisions of para-4 of Annex-I to MACP Scheme while calculating financial implications.
4. Since, the requisite information is needed on an urgent basis, kindly provide the same, duly approved by HOC, by 20.02.2022.
