DOP Celebrating 125th Birth Anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose | from 22nd January 2022 to 27th January 2022

As you are aware that the entire nation is celebrating 125th Birth Anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. To be part of this grand and prestigious celebrations, Department of Posts is organizing a number of activities like, holding of exhibitions, release of Special Cover etc. 

These activities are expected to bring to the general public the principles and sacrifice of Netaji and Indian National Army.


2.   To add value to these activities and to infuse a sense ot patriotism among the common people it is proposed that all Post Offices in the country will play the patriotic songs of Indian National Army from 22nd — 27th January, 2022. The tune of these songs is composed by Thakur Ram Singh and his family has generously allowed India Post to use this treasure for this event.


3.    All Head Post Offices and Sub-Post Offices may be directed to use the existing AV System for playing these patriotic songs. These songs should be played in the public area of Post Offices so that the customers visiting the Post Office can be part of this activity.


4.   All BPMs in the Branch Post Offices may be directed to play these patriotic songs through their available mobile phones or through the AV System available at the Gram Panchayat.


5    All Postmasters should be directed to conduct this activity on voluntary basis and as a community service contributing to national development. These songs can be played from the

6.   After the conduct of these activities in various Post Offices from 22nd — 27th January, 2022, Circles should share the photographs with Philately Division. Good quality photographs should be emailed in .zip format to philatelyrevenue@Email.com.
