Payment of Dearness Allowance/Relief (DA/DR) installment due from 1st July 2021; Regarding-
As you know, the Government of India pays Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief (DA/DR) to Central Government employees and pensioners twice in a year on 1st January and 1st July respectively.
2. DA/DR has become payable from 1st July. Which is usually declared in the month of September and the dues are paid during this festive season. This extra amount adds to the festive fervor as it is received during the festival. Currently, Navratri is going on, Ashtami and Navami are the last days and Dussehra is celebrated on the next day. In these festivals, all the employees and pensioners await the payment of the increased installment of DA/DR.
3. Therefore, you are requested to declare the Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief due from 1st July without delay and please make the payment of three months' arrears before the festival.
