 As regard the suggestion for one time relaxation for service condition for promotion to the HSG-II and HSG-I , a proposal for onetime relaxation in qualifying service has already been sent to Department of Personnel & Training for concurrence. Outcome will be intimated in due course of time

From Grade Pay 6th CPC

To Grade Pay 7th CPC

Qualifying Service for HSG I & II (In Years)

Rs 2800 (Level 5 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix of LSG)

Rs 4200 ( Level 6 of  7th CPC Pay Matrix of HSG-II)

6 Years

Rs 4200 ( Level 6 of  7th CPC Pay Matrix of HSG-II)

Rs 4600 ( Level 7 of  7th CPC Pay Matrix of HSG-I)

5 Years


In accordance with the above provisions, revised Recruitment Rules for posts of HSG-II and HSG-I were notified in 2013 and 2014 respectively. Therefore, reduction in qualifying service in the Recruitment Rules as proposed by your association will not be accepted by DOPT having effect on all central services.
